🇧🇷 Brazil’s 4th-largest state Bahia has announced that it’s secured financial support from the federal government in building a $890M canal to bring water to over 1.2M people in 44 cities. The canal will begin construction in the next year and create over 45K jobs, especially in the interior of the northeastern state.
