🇧🇴 Marcelo Claure, the former chief operating officer (COO) of SoftBank and Bolivia's wealthiest citizen, is opening up a new Latin America-focused venture firm, Bicycle Capital. The company has raised over $440M in commitments thus far, nearly reaching its inaugural fund goal, and will be based in São Paulo and Miami. It will focus on Series B and later rounds, investing roughly $20-50M per startup.
🇧🇷 Zürich Airport has won a public tender to manage Natal International Airport for 30 years. The company, which already operates the airports of Florianópolis, Vitória, and Macaé, offered about $65M to secure the rights and will begin paying an annual revenue-based fee in 5 years.
